Dan Romero’s artistic journey is as multifaceted as the sculptures he creates. Initially navigating through the world of acting in Los Angeles, he embraced various roles within the film industry — as a producer, writer, production manager, and film crew professional. His professional endeavors have swept him across the globe, immersing him in the diverse cultures of 16 countries and 40 states.

Although he always harbored a keen interest in art, glimpsing and gathering pieces from every corner of his travels, Dan’s own artistic expression began to materialize in an unexpected medium and place: sculpting with clay in a San Francisco hotel room in 2015. Inspired amid a film project, Dan began molding forms from clay, using nothing but wire and a piece of wood as his primary tools.

The evocative sculptures showcased on these pages are a testament to Dan’s intuitive talent and innate ability to convey complex human experiences and emotions through his art. His approach to sculpture, though initially untrained, blossomed into a profound exploration of form and feeling, currently refined through ongoing studies at a local sculpture studio. Without formal training, Dan began his journey into sculpting, weaving into his creations the rich tapestry of his varied experiences and the vibrant emotions captured during his travels.
